ACCEA DISTINCTION AWARDSIt is important that the SARS continues to represent the interests of its members in support of higher awards (currently Distinction Awards). Many members may be unaware that they can request SARS support by submitting official DoH forms directly to the Society. The SARS Committee consists of the President, President-elect and the late Past President. Those members whose names are recommended will be contacted by the Secretariat and informed of the Society's support. Recommendations are put forward to the ASGBI Distinction Awards Committee for consideration, alongside recommendations from the other specialist associations. The ASGBI will then send final recommendations for Distinction awards to the Department of Health (DOH).
